After that writer explain the concept of rent seeking as â⬠manipulating economic resources for profit rather than using their own ideas â⬠this concept clear the main point that why there are less opportunities for business men and risk takers as the whole economy and the business circle is revolve around some persons. Entrepreneurship is viewed by economist to define a combination of innovation and risk taking when economic resources are manipulating opportunities of the society becomes a source of growth, employment as well as opportunities for all segment of society. In Pakistan innovation and risk taking is not encouraged because of government involvement in market place. We will write a custom essay sample on Entrepreneurship in Pakistan or any similar topic only for you Order Now Main focus of this research paper is at the early days of planning when protection and subsidiary policies determined winners in market place. Entrepreneurship has been diverted to seeking government favors. As government policies seek to promote growth through mercantilism approach where local buyers and sellers ran their market are seriously neglect. Another important issue that argue by the writer is land distribution and city zoning and management that have evolved to further reinforce the prevalent rent seeking path to success in the result cities are designed not allowed to be a luster of buying and selling that will be entrepreneurship friendly. As Joseph Schumacher, the most important pioneer in the area of critical link between entrepreneurship and economic growth [Schumacher (1934)]. An exploitation economic resource to take advantage or to earn profit instead of using owns idea s rent seeking. Economic agent expand effort toward attempting to influence to influence government elections in their favor in order to accumulate wealth. Mr.. Anadem LU Huge explains the development of entrepreneurship in Pakistan as the big push for industry . Writer want to comment that since independence , enterprise or government was synonymous to large industry only. Instead of enhancing productivity or encouraging industry growth the focus was to give rise some elites which are rent seekers. Writer said that in first years after independence, country has achieved massive growth. After that from 1953-1964 government regulate all import in Pakistan. After the big push writer also highlight that the neglect of small industry created a mess as 40% of business takes place in the informal sector and still as compared to large scale industry , the small scale enterprise face unfavorable leslies After that writer said that agriculture growth was impressive in the early years in which transpiration and high yield varieties have become the source of rent seeking. Anadem LU Hasteââ¬â¢s main argument was a massive favor to rent seekers in a agriculture sector as inducement to invest , investment in tube wells was given to writer has also mentioned that DAB (agricultural development bank ) followed a liberal credit policy that makes numerous loans to farmers so they could set up private tube wells. He said that 70% of tube wells were put in by farmers owning 25 acres or more. All these were a reason to provide benefit to large farmers as elite farmer strategy. Anadem LU Huge also said that subsidies for export policy also become a victim of corruption as this policy again favored large scale industrialization business have grown on the back of various protective measures that have a tilt toward rent seeking rather than welfare improvement . All that problems lead to unintended consequences that in 1950 there were 3000 firms but concentration was only on 7 individual families. Further Anadem LU Huge state that 22 families controlled 66% of the industrial assets 70%of the insurance and 80% of Nanking in bayouââ¬â¢s regime. Another consequence given by writer was impediment to the growth of entrepreneurship in Pakistan is that innovation has been crippled. Severely limited as the planning land development and allotment in Pakistan has been a rent seeking opportunity involving all those in power including civil servants, judiciary, and the army. Every medal in Pakistan related to arm forces has land in acres. One of the major wealth accumulation strategy that has grown faster over years in the state provision of subsidized land to those with power. The whole search is based on development of entrepreneurship in Pakistan as these things can be removed and the opportunities for small businesses and new ideas can be provided by implementing rule of law. The role of government should be clear, law and order, legal system and Judiciary should reinforce contrast. There is a need to stop policy of sector picking and providing incentive to support it . A new growth strategy is needed to implement to shift the growth paradigm in Pakistan concentration should focus on creating cities and providing opportunity for those who have potential and ideas that will help to grow entrepreneurship in Pakistan. Existential TherapyDenisha Sydney Essay Example For Students
Existential TherapyDenisha Sydney Essay Monroe CollegeProfessor PintoFebruary 2, 2017AbstractAccording to previous readings, the existential approach considers human nature to be open-ended, flexible and capable of an enormous range of experience. The person is in a constant process of becoming. I create myself as I exist. There is no essential, solid self, no given definition of ones personality and abilities. It is concerned with the understanding of peoples position in the world and with the clarification of what it means to be alive. It is also committed to exploring these questions with a receptive attitude, rather than a dogmatic one: the search for truth with an open mind and an attitude of wonder is the aim, not the fitting of the client into pre-established categories and interpretations. Existential TherapyExistentialism was an overall European phenomenon and the primary focus of this approach is the relationship between counselor and client. Existential psychotherapy should do with seeking change in our lives I relation to the reality of our existence or being. This approach is much more concerned with the present and future than it is with the past. It is concerned with the understanding of peoples position in the world and with the clarification of what it means to them to be alive. It is also committed to exploring these questions with a receptive attitude, rather than with a dogmatic one. The aim is to search for truth with an open mind and an attitude of wonder rather than to fit the client into pre-established frameworks of interpretation. It states that each client has the freedom do as he pleases with his life although it may come with anxiety, although some fear exists in having anxiety, we learn to cope. There is a fear of death as well. Some of the most f amous contributors to this approach are: Victor Frankl (1905-1997): he was a holocaust survivor and he taught persons to find meaning in life in the face of adversity. He states that we have the freedom to state I would like to be one way or another, despite conditions. Frankyl developed logotherapy, which means therapy through meaning (Corey, 2014, p131). Rollo May1909-1994): the unconscious remains a constant motive in his work, but for Rollo May psychotherapy he thought must seek change at the level of an individuals relation to existence itself. This change requires that we experience the relationship of our existence especially anxiety, loneliness etc. May state that there is a constant struggle within us. Although we want to grow towards maturity and independence, we realize that expansion is often a painful process (Corey, 2014, p131). Irvin Yalom 1931-): who is still alive today has developed his approach to individual and group psychotherapy based on the notion that existen tialism deals with basic givens of existence: isolation and relationship with others, death and fully living, and meaningless and meaning (Corey,2014, p132). James Bugental (1915-2008): he coined the term existential humanistic theory and what it deals with is the fact that we exist. The core issue of life is life itself, and it helps deal with persons deal with the now of their lives and how to be in tune with it. Soren Kierkegaard (1813-55)protested vigorously against Christian dogma and the so-called objectivity of science (Kierkegaard, 1941, 1944). He thought that both were ways of avoiding the anxiety inherent in human existence. He had great contempt for the way in which life was being lived by those around him and believed that truth could ultimately only be discovered subjectively by the individual in action. What was most lacking was peoples courage to take the leap of faith and live with passion and commitment from the inward depth of existence. This involved a constant st ruggle between the finite and infinite aspects of our nature as part of the difficult task of creating a self and finding meaning. As Kierkegaard lived by his own word he was lonely and much ridiculed during his lifetime. .uf5022d50017526f2f1cb66c5d10b584f , .uf5022d50017526f2f1cb66c5d10b584f .postImageUrl , .uf5022d50017526f2f1cb66c5d10b584f .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .uf5022d50017526f2f1cb66c5d10b584f , .uf5022d50017526f2f1cb66c5d10b584f:hover , .uf5022d50017526f2f1cb66c5d10b584f:visited , .uf5022d50017526f2f1cb66c5d10b584f:active { border:0!important; } .uf5022d50017526f2f1cb66c5d10b584f .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .uf5022d50017526f2f1cb66c5d10b584f { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .uf5022d50017526f2f1cb66c5d10b584f:active , .uf5022d50017526f2f1cb66c5d10b584f:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .uf5022d50017526f2f1cb66c5d10b584f .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .uf5022d50017526f2f1cb66c5d10b584f .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .uf5022d50017526f2f1cb66c5d10b584f .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .uf5022d50017526f2f1cb66c5d10b584f .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .uf5022d50017526f2f1cb66c5d10b584f:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .uf5022d50017526f2f1cb66c5d10b584f .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .uf5022d50017526f2f1cb66c5d10b584f .uf5022d50017526f2f1cb66c5d10b584f-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .uf5022d50017526f2f1cb66c5d10b584f:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: Salvidor Dali EssayFriedrich Nietzsche (1844-1900)took this philosophy of life a step further. His starting point was the notion that God was dead (Nietzsche, 1961, 1974, 1986) and that it is up to us to re-evaluate existence considering this. He invited people to shake off the shackles of moral constraint and to discover their free will to soar to unknown heights and learn to live with new intensity. He encouraged people not to remain part of the herd, but to dare stand out. The important existential themes of freedom, choice, responsibility and courage are introduced for the first time. Heidegger (1889-1976)applied the phenomenological method to under- standing the meaning of being (Heidegger, 1962, 1968). He argued that poetry and deep philosophical thinking can bring greater insight into what it means to be in the world than can be achieved through scientific knowledge. He explored human being in the world in a manner that revolutionizes classical ideas about the self and psychology. He recognized the importance of time, space, death and human relatedness. He also favored hermeneutics, an old philosophical method of investigation, which is the art of interpretation. Unlike interpretation as practiced in psychoanalysis (which consists of referring a persons experience to a pre-established theoretical framework) this kind of interpretation seeks to under- stand how the person herself subjectively experiences something. Limitations of Existential PsychotherapyExistential psychotherapy, much like othertypes of therapy, may be misunderstood by people who do not have a thorough grasp of the fundamental principles or scope of the associated theories. Common misperceptions of existential psychotherapy include the following beliefs:There is one distinctive, united existential theory which is free of internal tension and covers all the basic assumptions of existential psychology. There is no difference between existential psychology and existential philosophy. Existential psychology takes an antireligious or anti-spiritual approach, for example, denying the existence of God. Existential and humanistic theories are the same thing. Existential psychotherapy involves taking a negative, dark, or pessimistic view of life. The approach is fundamentally an intellectual one. It is only beneficial to people of high intellect, who are not experiencing chronic behavioral or mental health conditions. References:Corey, G. (2012).
